A concert of music that explores the deep connection between spirituality and sound. Featuring original compositions by Steven Luksan (piano) and performances by Julia Adams (viola).

History Rewritten

October 22, 2016 - 7pm

Julia Adams presents a concert of new compositions by two Seattle composers, Justin Henderlight and Steven Luksan. Henderlight's music continues the traditions of the Baroque Era, while Luksan's music reimagines music of the Romantic Era.

Songs of the North

January 14, 2017 -7pm

Join us for an evening of folk-inspired music, with music from North America, the British Isles, and Scandinavia. Kerry Bollinger Blanton will treat us to traditional Norwegian fiddle tunes and give the World Premiere of Luksan's Folk Dances for Solo Viola. Justin Henderlight returns for the World Premiere of Luksan's Sonata for Oboe and Piano.

Musical Americana

Music composed in the USA takes center stage as the Saltwater Music Series explores the works of a diverse group of American composers.

Featuring: Julia Adams (violin), Justin Henderlight (oboe), Steven Luksan (piano/composer) & members of the Des Moines UMC Handbell Choir.

Norwegian Night!

Laura Loge (soprano) joins us for an evening of chamber music inspired by the land and language of Norway. Featuring piano music by Steven Luksan and Thomas Tellefsen, and songs in Norwegian by Grieg, Delius, and Luksan.
